Not far from a Pale Ale, our ESB has a stronger malt profile to balance against the hops, making a smooth drinking beer.

Grain Bill-

  • 9-10 pounds of British pale malt ( consider Maris Otter)
  • 8 ounces of 20-90L crystal malt
  • 8 ounces Aromatic malt
  • 4 ounces Special Roast

Hop Bill-

  • 2-4 ounces East Kent Goldings or Fuggles


  • Wyeast 1968 ESB

Mash Schedule-

  • Single infusion 150-155 F for 60 minutes
